Impey's Band contributed populai .-iotoctionsbhrou^hout. tho day, which added greatly to the day's pleasure. A course of sports was gone through, the results of which are here given :—Boys' Race :1, A. Boyco ;2, L. Kelly. Apprentices' Handicap : 1, A. Beuth ; 2, A. Finer. Master Saddlers' Race :1, J. Knight. Married Men's Rncs :1, W. Purdy ;2, M. Conway. Saddlers' Cu p: 1, A. Beuth and W. Purdy (dead iioat); 2, A. Finer. Swimming Race: 1, Taylor; 2, Sainby. Bandsmen's Race, 1, F. Hales. In recognition of Mr Reid's kindness in granting tho party permission to land on the Island, the Committee presented him with afinePelham bridle. The presentation was made by the X^bairman Mr M. J. Sheahan, J.P.
