OUR GOLDFIELDS.
Waihi. —An Engineer's trial of the machinery and water supply in connection with the Cas?el Gold Extraction Cyanide plant at Wftihi was made on February 13th, and everything worked smoothly and to the satisfaction of the acting manager, Mr Napier. The works being in a forward state, the Manager expects to commence treating iho large accumulation ot tailings that this company purchased from the Waihi Company in a few day*, and expect to have profitable employment for the next two years ab least. Mr Crump, Engineer for tho Cassels Company, who has successfully carried out the erection of this plant proceeds to Waitekauri to-day to lay out a battery and Cyanide plant for the Grace Darling Company (late Bernie's find) for which tenders will be called a3 soon aa the necessary plans and specifications are drawn out.—(Waihi correspondent.)
