JUDGE'S BAY REGATTA.
This popular regatta will take placo tomorrow afternoon in Judge's Bay, and, favoured with fine weather, will ua< doubfcodly bo a success. The Committee have been working very energetically, and have made extensive preparations for the benefit and convenience of the public, and are confident of making the afternoon tfgreeable and attractive. The flagship will be moored off the Bay, and ferry boats will run at intervale from the wharf, while boats will ply to and from the beach. Hunter's Band has been engaged to play on. the flagship, and the ladies on board will be offered the ever-refreshing cup of tea. Mr E. \V. Burgess has consented to act as starter of the rowing races, and Mr Graham for the sailing events, and Mr Kiasling will be the judge for the day. The entries are exceptionally large, find all the races will be well contested. The Committee intend to have all the races started punctually, and competitors will have to pay careful attention to the programme and be at the post in time. Great interest is being centred in the race for yachts under 7 rating. This event will bring out a field of 5 or 6, including the well-known flyers Aorere and Spray and the new craft Anahera and Ngaru. Another race that will be watched with attention is thab between centreboard yachts, the competing craft including the Manola, Mabel, Cloud, and other well-known performers. In the rowing events, the senior gig race will be the moat exciting. Auckland, St. Goorgo's, City, and W uitemata Clubs will be represented, and all the crews have been training assiduously for some time past. The course is from St. Mary's Point, Ponsonby, to the flagship.
