PONSONBY REGATTA.
To-morrow, the first of the recentlyrevived Ponsonby Regattas takes place in tbe Waitemata, in the vicinity of the popo'lar west end suburb, and promises to bo - a great success. The energetic Commi^toe haa been hard at work during the past few weeks, and with the advent o'_ fine weather a moab enjoyable after.toons sport may bo aafely anticipated. LAn excellent and diveraified programme haa been arranged, including yacht and rowing races and numerous events of an entertaining nature. A band will be in attendance and afternoon tea will be provided. Steamers will leave tho Queenstreet Wharf at 12.30 and 2 p.m. for tho fl'tgship andiat 1 P-m. for the Ponsonby Wharf.
