Mr Fraser addressed the Queensfcown electors, and received a unanimous vote of confidence. He advocated bhe formation of a country parby to curb the growing power of the towns. Ho is a pronounced treetrader. He strongly condemned Mr Soddon for his repeated attacks on the Railway Commissioners. He favours the maintenance of the Educabion Acb, and is opposed to Bible-reading and prohibition. If the latter is agreed to it should be for tho whole colony, not any particular district. Large estates should only be purchased by direct sanction of Parliament. He was opposed to the Government as at preßenb constituted.
