(bytelegraph.—own correspondent.)

Wellington, this day. Mr John DuTniE, one of the Parliamentary representatives of Wellington city in the oxpiring Parliament, has definitely resolved to come forward again for that soat ab tho approaching elections. In taking this course, Mr Duthie, who is a strong Opposition man, is, I have reason to believe, obeying a mandate of \m party. Several prominent members of that side of tho House are understood to have met in caucus a few days since in tho South, when they decided that the party should contest every likely seat ab tho elections. Henco the docision of Mr Duthie. Hence, also, tho reappearance at the same time, as a candidate for Manukau, of Mr W. F. liucklaud, who declared more than once that he did nob intend to seek re-election. The announcement of his candidature caused a surprise in political circles here, but this I believe is the explanation. THE HON. A. J. CADMAN. Tho Hon. A.J.Cadman, who loft yesterday afternoon for Wairaiapa, will go to Huntervillo, from there by coach to Tokanui, and thence through the Waikato to Auckland. Ho will probably visit the Thames boforo beginning his Waikato campaign. SIR ROBERT STOUT. Sir Robert Stout lias gone to stay with the ilev. C. S.
