THE CREW AND THE CARGO,
The reported loss of the barque Evolyn lias caused deep regret in Newcastle, (N.S.W.) where tho captain and several of the crew were well known. The following aro the names of those who lefb that porb on board tho vessel for Lyttelton, N.Z., on 19th ulb. :—Jamos Love, captain ; William A. Chamberlin, lirsb mate; A. Jones, .second mate; William Sherrick, carpenter ; P. Nilson, T. Jollagson, P. Ambromphe, S. Hume, C. Johnson, Karl Larson, J. Poderson, R. Dockson, Michael Leahy, P. 11. Miller, P. Carls, A.B's.; Bernard Rieck, cook and steward ; H. P. Collins, second steward ; Honry R. Rothwoll, Louis B. Trickoy, Alexander Bell and J. W. Babhgate, apprentices. A.B's. Pederson and Dockson shippod ab Port Elizabeth ; Rieck (the cook and steward), and Leahy, Miller and Carls, A.Bs.; shippod at Nowcastle. The remainder of bhe crew joined tho vessel at Hull. The Evelyn Bailed with a cargo consisting of 1,689 tons Newcastle Company's coal.
