"A" BATTERY,

The prizes annually presented to the Battery by Hon. Captain Gedd.es will be fired for on Saturday next, September 23rd, commencing at 1.30. The company will be divided into three teams, Ist 2nd and 3rd class, tho conditions for tho A class are 7 shots each at 200, 400 and 500 ynrds, and for tho B and C 10 shots each at 200nnd 400 yards. The following aro ths diilerent classes:—

" A " Class : Quartermaster M. Kearsley, Sergeants Parslow and Doughty, Corporals Hazard and Webster, Bombardier Browne, Gunners Buchanan, Taylor, McCallum, Greenshiolds, Payne, Baddily, Hatswell.

" B " Class: Captain O'Brien, lion. Capt. Geddea, Lieutonant Lipscombe, Dr. Watson, Sergeant Sheraon, Sergeant M. Doughty, Sergeanc 80-sworth, Corporal Holden.Bombardier Gr»nb,Gunn9r Wallace, Gunnor Wishart, Gunner Roper, Gunner Murphy, Gunner O'Connor, Gunner Hutchinson and honorary member Thornes.

"C" Class: Corporal Mills, Bombardier Burroll, Bombatdier Nixon, Gunner Wyles, Gunner Browne,. Gunner Busby, Gunner Hampton, Gunner Spargo, Gunner Mills, Gunner Lee, Gunner Evitb, Gunner Dunningham, Gunner Noton, Gunner Cash, Gunner Cutler, Gunner Oliver, Gunner A. Brown, Gunner Quidloy, Gunner Buttermore, Gunner Tudehopa, Quarter-Master Miller and Sergeant M. Lipscombe. A good muscer and good shooting is expected.
