In consequence of the natives who were plaintiffs in the recent actions brought by, the Government against Mr John Lundon for £800 not having paid the costs awarded • to the defendant, Mr Lundon, that gentleman has instructed his solicitor, Mr W. J. Napier, to issue distress warrants against the sheep, horses, and boats of the natives. Tho costs amount to £78 3s. As the Government (acting under a resolution of the House of Representatives) were the real plaintiffs in the actions ib is Btrange they should allow tbe natives to be mulcted in the costs. f Dr. Lyttle, late ofDunedin, who has_ been appointed by the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board to succeed Dr. Someryille as House Surgeon, is now in this city and enters upon his ne# duties to»morrow,
