J. M. ALEXANDER'S ESTATE.

The work of administering the estate of the late J. M. Alexander, which has been relegated to the Official Assignee in Bankruptcy, bids fair to bo an onerous task. The books, deeds and documents are so numerous that a special room will require to be obtained for their accommodation, ac sufficient space is not available at Mr Lawson'a office. It is estimated there will be several cartloads of documents, etc. Ac-1 cording to the accounts .filed the liabilities appear to be £71,313,"and.theas8efce,£57,044 10s, showing a deficiency of £14,268 9&ld. These figures are, however, merely as shown by unbalanced books, and no doubt when the matter is finally settled the totals will be far different.
