Wool.—The wool sales opened this day ab the level of lasb sales. Since the close of last sales .fine greasy crossbred,. medium greasy crossbred and coarsegreasy crossbred are par to Jd per lb lower. The attendance of both home arid foreign buyers is good, and competition active. The bobal quantity available, including wool held over from lasb series, is 446,000 bales, 58,000 of which have been forwarded to the manufacturing, districts direcb.
Wheat.—There are improved reports of the American crops, and the markeb is depressed. Spot quotabions have declined 6d .per 4961b since lasb report. New Zealand wheat f.a.q. is worbh ,c.i.f. to arrive, 33s 6d per 480lb. Quotations nominal.
