The international tug-of-war contests were continued on Saturday evening in the DrillBhod, before one of the largest audiences ihab have yeb assembled, t&ere. The pulls were very interesting, bub that of Maprjs y. Colonials disappointed very many, on account of the very easy manner in which the former team romped home. The: other ■ tug, however,- between teams from yacht St. George and Waitemata Boating Club, was a very stubborn one, the rope being sealed for a renewal of the fight at mick night, after a pull of two hours and thirtyfive minutes. The efforts of each team were made .very often, and the strained muscles and heated looks of the men showed the fierceness of the contest. The pull stopped with the flag about a foot to advantage of Waitemata. To-night the following teams pull: St. George's renew their pull with Waitematas, England v. Scotland, Scandinavian ■v.
