MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS.

Moanataiari.—The manager reports that bhe general stone passed through the babbery lasb week has shown considerable improvement, 215 tons having reburned 236 ounces of amalgam. The different workings on the Golden Age reef have s'_own a little more gold, especially in bhe eastern drive on the Point Russell level, where' several pounds of fairly good picked stone were obtained. The cross lode and -the several smaller branches which run inbo ib have been producing good crushing dirb, wibh occasionally a.few pounds of picked, stone. There arei.,-20Jb of picked .stone-.on-.band from all parts of the mine. Hazelbank:—The manager reports that .Darby's..leader averages about 12 inches in width. A libble gold is seen when breaking down, and also in bhe winze. The manager states there is every appearance of payable gold going down. A crushing of 41 loads of quarbz and 801b of picked sbone reburned 118oz lldwb of gold, of which nearly lOOoz were from Darby's leader.' Try Fluke.—The manager reporbs bhab ore from No. 3 level is showing up well for a good payable return. The ore from bhe soubh stopes is also shaping well at bhe mill. There are on hand 4550z of amalgam from bhe plates. The mine generally is looking bebter.

Mariposa.—The manager reports thab the reef is parted by a bar of sandstone 5 feet wide. Bobh porbions carry gold. The babbery is well advanced. Great Mercury.—The manager reporbs bhat ab No. 1 level bhe reef is 4 bo 8 inches wide of payable dirb. The eastern branch is 8 inches wide. Ab bhe main level bhe reef is 4 feeb wide and gives fair prospects of gold. There are 700oz of amalgam on hand for the week's run.

Red Mercury.—The manager reports thab two inbermediabe levels have been abarbed. The reef on bhe eastern branch is a fine body of sbone two fecit bhick, and prospects for ljoz bo bhe bon. The wesbern branch is from eight to ten inches in width, and also prospects well.
