During bhe hearing of the judgmenb summons cases ab the R.M. Courb this morning, Dr. Giles, bhe Residenb Magistrate, remarked, after one of bhe cases was heard, ib was a piby that elecbors did nob sometimes suggesb to candidabes for Parliament some legislation to prevenb bhe defrauding of creditors by shuffling aboub bhe possession of furniture and othor properby between husband and wife, which ia the resulb of tho present state of the law. All sorbs of questions were asked political candidates when giving addresses, bub he had never beard of questions boing pub relating bo such mabters as these, which conabanbly affecb bhe elecbors in bheir daily business. He said thab he was nob referring bo bhis particular case, as he did not know enough of bhe particulars. One of bho solicitors in the case jocularly remarked bhab he did nob bhink bho eloobora would care bo ask candidabes questions of bhat sorb, as bhey wore ofben in the same fix bhemselves. ■-, ._.
