AUCKLAND 11. BEAT GORDON 11,
The match between bho Auckland and Gordon second elevens was completed last Saturday, and resulted in a win for the Auckland 11. by 11 rung. The features of the play on Saturday were the batting of Gilfillan, who made 2'2outi of 28 and going in first was Che last batsman but one to retire, and the bowling of Kenderdine, who secured 8 wickets for 13 runa for the Gordon, and of Howard, who secured 7 wickets for 14 runs for Auckland. Mulgan played steadily for 7 not out, and was top scorer for the winners. The bad light and wanb of practice combined with the heavy wickeb would account for the halfdozen ducks' eggs for the losers. Gordon have entered a protest against the winners, on tho ground of them playing one of their senior men, A. Howard, and the Committee of the Cricket Association will have to settle the question.
