CLEANING WINDOWS.
A SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
In last evening's issue we mentioned that a domestic servant named Florence Head had fallen out of a window from a house at the top of Parnell. It appears that the young woman was in the employ of Mr B. J. M. Kemp, tailor, and was engaged at hie pre« mises cleaning ono of the upstairs win* dows facing a vacant allotment. She had the bottom half of the window raised and was sitting on the sill, with her feet inside and her body outBide. After completing the work.Miss Head was about to get back into the room, when she missed her hold, and fell to the ground, a distance of about 18ffc Dr. Lindsay .was speedily summoned by Mr Kemp, and th» girl was afterwards taken-to the Hospital, where she was examined. It was found thab no bones were broken, but the girl was severely shaken and bruised about tha hips. The girl is reported to be progress* ing favourably.
