SUICIDE AT NELSON.

Nelson, this day. An inquesfc has been held .on John Rose, aged 23, a resident of Blenheim, who had been staying here. His body was found floating in six feet of water in tho Maitai River yesterday. Ho was fully dressed. His legs were tied, and a piece of flax was round his nock, with a loop as if to hold a stone. His watch had stopped ab eighteen minutes past seven. Ho was last seen by the friends with whom ho was staying" ab two o'clock lasb Saburday. He complained of feeling dull. When 15 years of he was in the Wellington Asylum for two years. A verdict of "Suicide while of unsound mind " was returned.
