The three-masted schooner Waireka, 99 tons, Capt. J. Curran, was cleared to-day for Wellington via Whangarei, in ballast. The American barquentineElinor Vernon, which is now in command of Captain Chatbourne, left Port Chalmers yesterday for Auckland. The new schooner Goldfinch, lately built at Rarotonga, is reported by the Richmond a? about to leave Rarotonga for Auckland, in charge of Capt. Short. The s.s. Richmond reports that the ketch Awarua (Capb. J. B. Dickson) was •till lying in the lagoon at Aitutaki (Hervey group) when she left Rarotonga on the 2nd inst., being condemned. The s.s. Ruby, having been delayed at Miranda through a broken valve spindle, was towed up to Auckland by the Maori last evening, and will pick up her usual time-table at nine p.m. to-night (Thursday). The New Zealand Shipping Company's Morayshire will remain here until Tuesday or Wednesday next, when she will leave for Wellington and Port Chalmers to finish loading for London. She takes from here some kauri gum, wool, etc.
