The sale of the late Sir F. Wbiteker , books took place thia morning at Mr T. M Jackson'd sale room. The attendance o* buyers was but poor, and the bidding was tamo and spiritless, prices ruling lo>v. The members of the lejjal fraternity bought most of the lots, Messrs O'Meagher and Tole being conspicuous purchasers. Mr F. G. Ewington also obtained some valuable works at extremely moderatu prices. The lot mainly consisted of law books and old pamphlets and scientific ureatisee. A handsome sot of Tennyson went to a spirited buyer at tho extraordinary price of 6d, and a capital old edition of Pope sold for even loss. Blackstone fetched next to nothing, and some bundles of eongs 9d a set. A complete Picturesque Atlas occasioned the bid of 10s, but was withdrawn seemingly, to the resentment of the gentleman who had made tho spirited offer.
