ACCIDENT TO A LUMPER.
Thomas Jones, a lumper, employed by Captain Nearing on tho barcpie Lottie Moore, lying alongside the Queen-street Wharf, met with an accident yesterday afternoon. The man was engaged stowing flax in tho hold of tho barque, and when screwing a bale of flax with a screwjack, the balo slipped off the jack and struck Jones on tho left log, breaking one of the small bones close to the ankle. Captain Nearing had tho man taken to the Hospital.
