Thk Railway League party, bound on an inspection brip through the King Country to Taranaki over tha Stratford railway route, passed through here ab noon to-day by bho Waikato train from Auckland. The parbv includes the Hon. A. J. Cadman (Native Minister), Messrs F. La-wry, J- Palmer (M.H.R.'s) P- Oliphant Wilson (C.E. for Railway League), and a Star special. The par by arrives at Te Kuiti this ovening.and being joined thereby Mr'Hursthouse (GovernmentEngiueerandguide) to-morrow morning a start will be made on horseback to Mokau, after which four, or five days journey will be done on foot. The .arty is expected to arrive ab Stratford by Sunday next, with fino weather.
