Drunkenness. — Eliza Lestrange was ordered fchree months' hard labour; Mary Ann Smith, 10s, or 43 houra. One first offender was fined 5s and costs.
FiGHTiSG in Cook-street.—Alexander Mackay and Jno. Hadfield were charged with lighting in Cook-street on the 20th December. A plea of guilty vas put in through counsel. Inspector Broham complained that Mackay had not xaken care of hie children, who were recently before the Court, but the magistrate could not take notice of that matter in the presenc case. Mackay was fined 203 and costs, or seven days' imprisonment and Hadfield 40s or 21 days' imprisonment, the latter having been previously convicted for disorderly conduct.
