HE ARRIVES TO-NICHT.
About thirty gentlemen, representing societies favourable to the Liberal cause, met lasb evening for the purpose of arranging details in connection with the Premier's address to tho citizens at the City Hall on Thursday ovening next, December 17. It was decided to ask the Mayor to preside at tho meeting. Mr Ballance arrives by tho Takapuna ab Otiehunga this evening aboub 7 o'clock.

The Premier arrived by express train last evening, and left for Auckland by the Takapuna this morning. A deputation waited on Mr Ballance, nnd asked him to address a meeting on his return from Auckland, which the Premier consented to do,, nnd Monday weok is fixed upon as tho date.
