P_h_f***ii Prospectors.—An offer has been made by an Australian syndicate to purchase the Prospectors No. 1 property. A general meeting of shareholders has been called to consider the terms. Occidental.—Tho manager telegraphed to-day: "Crushed 20 loads of general quartz and 651b ol picked stone for ISSoz lldwt of gold."

Waitekaijri.—lfc is nofc intended fco start crushing again until two or three hundred tons has been got into the hopper. About twenty hands are busy in the mine gebtimr oub stuff and seeking for a new reef, which is believed to exisfc in fche immediate vicinity of the present working. Waihi.—The work of fixing up the now fchir'y head of stampers to crush wet affcerVtie method developed by Mr Russell at Waitekauri is being actively pushed forward, and the erection of a large new building to accommodate additional machinery is already in a forward state. It is expected that the thirty head of stampers crushing side by side with fche present thirty head dry, will be in full swing early in January nexb. In the Silverton property, the work of making a battery tramway is progressing favourably. Consols.—The winze on specimen leader at No. 2 level has attained a depth of 30ft, of which 14ffc has been sunk by fche present Company. The firsb breaking down took place to-day, as a result of which an encouraging haul of ten pounds of very fair picked stone was obtained. The leader is five inches thick. There are 70ft of backs available on bhe leader, and aboub 100 ft in length. The stone was exhibited afc the Corner to-day, and attracted somo attention, as it is the first obtained by the presenb Company. Coromandel, bhis day. Royal Oak.—Tho tribufcers obtained 501b picked efcone yesterday.
