THE QUEENSLAND SHEARERS.
Brisbane, Jane 16.
The Government have decided to assist those shearers who are willing to return to work, and will supply them with rations until they obtain employment.
Brisbane, this day.
The shearers strike has been officially declared off. Some uneasiness is felt in the city at the action of Casey, the organiser of the labour federation. He addressed the men in the Barcaldine, advising them to demand the Government to find work for them or be sent to gaol. Subsequently, Casey incited the men to burn out storekeepers. He was thereon promptly arrested.
