FIRE AT ONEHUNGA.
_6a — A FIF.K occurred ab 2 o'clock this morning, and totally destroyed an oi-j-iib-roomed housa, tha property of Mr Matthew Edgar, the late lessee of tho Terminus Hotel, Onehunga. Mr Edgar hn? within the last few days sold the letiso of tho hotel, and was removing to a house on the Epsom Road, the house destroyed being closo adjacent. Ib was being painted and renovated, and workmen had been engaged upon ib for some time. Some of Mr Edgar's family woro awakened by tho glare of tha lire and ga - 'o the alarm, -bub nothing could be done bo savo the building. Mr Edgar and part of his family were ab tho Onehunga property when the fire occurred. It \va_ a well-built house, and insured for i'SCO.
