Thames, this day. Messks Catban, Scott, Paull, Walton, and Williams, the temperance candidates, have been elected for Kaueranga licensing district by large majorities over the moderate ticket. The local option poll was also very decidedly against any increase of licenses.
A lad named William Townsend met with an accident last evening by being thrown from his horse at Farawai, but bis injuries are not serious, •
