THE VICTORIAN LOAN FAILURE.
London, April 22.
The " World" considers that the failure of the "Victorian loan was primarily due to the dissolution of the Westgarth syndicate, and that the market was unfit owing to the after effects of the Barings' disaster. It adds that the lesson is one which Victoria should mark and inwardly digest.
