THE S.S. NORKOOWA.
The Melbourne cargo-steamer Norkoowa' 1,643 tons, Captain Nightingale, is in port from Newcastle with over 2,000 tons of coals, chiefly for the Auckland Gas Company. She anchored last evening outside Rangitoto Reef and was brought in by Pilot Sainby this morning. She left Newcastle on Tuesday evening, 7th inst., and had a fineweather trip. Her speed is only 9 knots. She is lightly rigged as a fore-and-aft schooner. She will be discharged in six days, and will load timber outwards for. Melbourne, taking close on a million feebot kauri. She is berthed at the Queen-street wharf.
