THE WANAKA CASUALTY.

THE VESSEL SHIFTED,

(Ny telegraph.—press association.)

New Plymouth, this day. Theke was a strong north-wesb gale with heavy sea all night, and. this has caused the Wanaka to alter her position, and instead of lying broadside on to the shore, her head is now gone round to tho seawards. Fears are expressed bhat if the gale continues she will bo greatly damaged. Owing to the heavy sea rolling in no communication can be had with the vessel, and the Moa remains under shelter of the Breakwater. When the sea moderates another attempt will be made to float tho vessel.
