NEWFOUNDLAND AFFAIRS.
ANNEXATION TO UNITED STATES PROPOSED.
London, March 24. It is reported that if a plebiscite were taken, seven-eighths of the people in Newfoundland would vote for annexation to the United States. The enforcement of the treaty with France is likely to be resisted unless a regiment of British troops is despatched to coerce the colony.
