Kauri Gum Summary.—Since last outward mail the local kauri gum market has been very unsettled, and at present writing it is hard to quote current prices definitely. We quote nominally as follows: Fair to medium ordinary parcels. £39 to £40 per ton: good to superior do., £41 to £44 : Fast Coast, £55 to £56 ; superior rescraped. £80 to £84. Supplies for last four woeks, 591 tons. A fair amount of gum has been shipped away during the month. On the 19th inst., the ship Hermione, for London, took away 228 tons gum, and the steamer Mamari, sailing same date, also for London, took 144 tons, inclusive of 19 tons for New York. The German barque Valparaiso is loading for Now York, and takes about J75 tonsof gum. Tho barque Scottish Admiral is starting loading for London. The Elinor Vernon, barquentine, now at Wellington, should be here before next mail, loading for New York,
