Huntly Mining Disaster.

Huntly, this day. The hearing of evidence in the charges against the contractors was continued on Saturday, the Court sitting from nine a.m. until eleven p.m. Carless concluded his evidence on Friday. John Sampson, junr.., was examined on Saturday. Ho worked in the same shift as those killed. lie stated that the false sets were not braced when he went on at two p.m. He was not all his time in the dip. Smith was employed at odd jobs about the mine. Witness was cross-examined by Kay. The Court adjourned till to-day at 1 p.m. The magistrate informed Mr Collins that the charge against him would not be heard until Friday.
