CIVIL SERVICE ASSOCIATION.
A Press Association telegram from Wellingbon say*:—"ln reference to the Civil Service Association, the Provisional Commibtee appointed at the meeting last Thursday are busily engaged preparing reports of the meeting," and a preliminary statement of the objects of the Association, which will be circulated throughout the colony in a very few days. There is a good deal of general preliminary work done; but there is, apparently, no slacking off in the determination of the promoters of the provisional committee to make the Association a thorough success— and it seems a reality. The principal plan k in the platform is that there shall be no central or local colour, bub that the Association shall embrace the whole service throughout tbe whole colony, and shall be thoroughly representative."
