BUILDERS AND CONTRACTORS' LIEN BILL.
At a meeting of the Auckland Institute of Architects held yesterday afternoon, it was agreed to forward the following resolution to Messrs Withy and Peacock : —"That the Auckland Institute of Architects considers the provisions of the Lien Bill, making an employer Who has loyally carried out the provisions of his contract, liable for debts incurred by the contractor, and for which the employer has already paid, to be unjust, and a dishonourable transference of responsibility. And, further, it is the opinion of thia Institute that the Act. should apply only to any unpaid balance which the employer way otve on account of the contract."
