THE DOWNFALL OF HUMBUG.
The day of tho " cheap Swiss Watch" has gone by. Jfc is ill fitting—roughly made, not interchangeable, and when once out of order, rarely, if ever, susceptible of satisfactory repairs. The country has been flooded with those implements, but, gigantic as this importation-has been, they must yield to the superior merits of American watches. The very first watch produced by the Waterbury Watch Company sounded the death knell of the Swiss atrocities. In 1889 the battle had been won, and the days of unreliable timepieces practically numbered. The modern David of American genius and accuracy has, by force of intrinsic merit, caused tbe downfall of the Swiss Philistine of cheap horological humbug.
