The victory oi Daddy Longlega yesterday In the New Zealand Grand National Steeplechase was very popular, as the horse has twice run into a place in the same event. The horse and trainer, Mr Cox, were loudly cheered on the horse weighing in. The sum of £6,067 passed through the totalisator. The Hurdle Race of 300sovs was won by Ixion, with Romulus second, and Trimolite third. Dividends, £2 12s and £2. Ahua appropriated the Maiden Steeplechase from five others, the dividend being £1 18s 6d, and Trimolite gob home in the Final Handicap.
