Word comes from Melbourne that Mr D. O'Brien has sold Helmeman and Town Moor to Mr E. Weekes, the well-known Indian trader.
The racing mare Dollar was shipped to Reefton yesterday. A meeting of tbe Auckland Trotting Association takes place to-morrow afternoon at 3 o'clock, at the office, Durhamstreet. The pony Gamecock is to be offered at Buckland's to-morrow. A London cablegram says the second batch of horses sent to England by the Hon. J. White are showing much promise, and regret is expressed at their nominations being void, as the filly Mons Meg (sister to Singapore), which is shaping excellently, would probably have been heavily backed for the Middle Park Plate at the Newtnark-t Meeting in October.
