BAD LANGUAGE.
TWO MONTHS' IMPRISONMENT.
Many must be disgusted at the language they are at times compelled to hear as they pass along the streets. Groups of hoodlums infest the corners and doorways and use filthy language in the ordinary course of conversation. Ib is, therefore, pleasing to record that a severe sentence was inflicted on a young man at the Police Court this morning for having used obscene language in Queen-streeb on the 20bh of May. The prisoner's name was Goorgo Waters, and he pleaded guilty to the charge. Evidence was given by Constable Gordon. Messrs W. Duncan and W. Crowther, the presiding justices, sentenced tho accused to two months' imprisonment with hard labour. The prisoner was arrested late last nighb by Constable Matbison.
