New Plymouth, this day. A private letter received by Mr Samuel M.H P. by the 'Frisco mail, states that bir Julius Vogel is suffering from a very severe illness. " . , ... ~, From the same source it is stated that the shares in the Taranaki Petroleum Company are all allotted, and an arrangement has been made for a boring plant bo be sent on from America here as soon as possible. It was also stated in connection with the iron sand that Adison'e new invention overcomes' the refractory nature of the metal. ..
