A prospector who was in Puhipuhi prospecting two years ago, went out to his particular favourite spot in comply with others, and broke a piece 'tif quartz off a reef in the river, a mile away from the prospector's claim. The came shows gold to the naked eye. An old band from the West Coast says were some diggers to see the same it would cause an immediate rush. A party of eight left here 'this morning on road business and viewing Puhipuhi, so that it ia evident the ranger has his work cut out.
