EAST COAST ELECTIONS.
(BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.)
Gisborne, this day. The nomination of candidates for tho East Coast seat took place to-day, and the show of hands was:—Arthur, 80 ; Rees, 48. Mr Arthur declared himself a strong supporter of Sir Harry Atkinson and the Ministry. Mr Rees will assume an independent position. The poll takes place on Friday next. '
