THE SYDNEY MEN'S VISIT.
In connection wibh the proposed visit of a Sydney cricket team to Auckland about Christmas, Mr G. Cheeseman, who is acting for the team, has received a telegram from Wellington stating that the visitors can havo all tho gate money at thafc town, provided they pay all expenses in connection with tho match. These are very fair terms. The cricket matches started last Saturday will be continued to-morrow afternoon. Gordon has much the better of Parnell on fche first innings ; while the AucklandUnited match is in that interesting state when nobody can tell who will win. There are also a number of interesting junior matches in progress.

Wellington, bhis day, AUCKLAND V. WELLINGTON.
At a meeting of the Wellington Cricketers' Association iast night, with reference to the proposed visit of a New South Wales team to New Zealand, it was decided to offer the visitors the gross takings, expenses of the match to be borne by them. It was also resolved to accept the challenge of tho Auckland representative eleven, to play on the 6tb, 7bh and Bth January.
