ANTI-POVERTY LECTURE.
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —Will you kimdly grant Mr Cowlcy a small space in which to explain how he would propose dealing with the case suggested in my letter inserted in the Star of 28th ult. I would not trouble you, but the correspondence has got a little out of order, and Mr Cowley appears to have written his last on the above dato, requesting a ca3e in point, unaware of the contents of my letter. The explanation given a few days since by " Q," simply asserting that the rent wouk , . be appropriated, is scarcely satisfactory to myself as owner, however gratifying it might be to my tenant.—Yours, etc.. Income Tax.
