It has been decided thab the trials in connection wibh the Amateur Athletic Club, to choose a team to represent the Club in the approaching championship meebing at Dunedin,shall takeplace on Thursday afternoon next in bhe Domain. The men will bhen leave if possible on Friday for Dunedin. Enbries have to be sent in for the Dunedin meeting, on Saturday, so that no time must .be lost. Jeffreys also will do a trial for the mile, and Peace will probably try to break the record for the mile walk.

TRIALS AT CHRISTCHURCH.

The Canterbury Athletic Club held the remainder of the test races to send representatives to Dunedin yesterday evening. It was wretchedly cold, and a gf.de of wind which was blowing prevented anything like fast time. In the three mile walk Cox easily beat Fisher in 24 minutes. Reeves beat Grierson, Lean, and four others in the half mile ; time, '2min 6 l-sbh sec. Wood easily beat Loveridge and others in the three mile run. Time 15min 59sec. In the long jump Farmer's first jump was 19 feet 5 inches. Cuff in attempting to cover bhi3 fell and sprained his arm badly.
