THE SCHOONER SOVEREIGN.
ASHORE AT QUEENSLAND,
A cable message received in town to-day from Brisbane, states briefly that the Auckland-built schooner Sovereign, bound from Auckland to Brisbane, has gone ashore near Brisbane and was lightened to enable her to be floated off. No further particulars are given. The Sovereign was a schooner of 85 tons, built at Auckland in 1880. Sic left here on July Ist for Brisbane, with a cargo of oafcs, and was probably close to her destination when she went ashore.
