At the meeting ofgthe Auckland Presbjteiy to-day, the Rev. Mr Macnicol brought up a circular sent to him by the .Rev. D. M. Stuart, D.D., to the effect that the Victorian Church hud invited Principal RainyandDr. MacGregor, oiEdinburgh,Dr. Donald Fraser, of London, and Dr. Lind, of Belfast, to assist in the celebration appointed in connection with tlia Jubilee, which takes place tibout the end of July. Principal Rainey alone had bean appointed to visit New Zealand, and Dr. Stuart suggested that an effort should be made to get all the delegates to visit New Zealand, calling at,Jnyercargill, r Dunedin, Oamaru,' Timafu, Christchurch, Wellington, Napier and Auckland. A visit of such distinguished Presbyterian Divines, he held, could not fail to prove stimulation to .the church in New Zealand, and the Dunedin Presbytery wished for their co-operation. The proposal met with general appoval from the Presbytery, and on the motion of the Bey. Mr Monro it wa3 resolved, " That the Auckland Presbytery will gladly co-operate with the other centres in inviting the deputies to visit New Zealand, and that the iollowing Committee be appointed to carry out the details: — The Revs. Runciman, Carrick, Monro, and Macnicol."

It was arranged that the clerk of the Presbytery should conveneaspecialmeeting of the Presbytery .to meet Dr. Rainy in the event of his coming to Auckland.
