WRECK OF THE GAEL.
THE CREW" SAVED.
Sydney, this day. Nkws has been received here of the wreck of the Auckland schooner Gael at Mallicolo Island, New Hebrides.
The crew wero all saved,
No further particulars are yeb to hand. The Gael was a topsail schooner of 98 tons, and was built in Mechanics' Bay by McCallum and McQuarrie in 1877.
The Gael was purchased some time ago by Captain Donald McLeod, of Havannah, whoso trading fleet includes other Auckland vessels.
