A BLIZZARD IN THE EAST

New York, February 7.

A wild blizzard is prevailing throughout Canada and the Middle States, Maryland and Virginia. Two men wore found frozen to death in Western New York last evening, and other losses of life by the excessively cold weather are being reported.

Ottawa, February 7.

The Canadian Pacific and Canada Atlantic railways have cancelled all trains leaving the city bo-nighb, owing bo snowdrifts. A SEVERE STORM. Montreal, February 8. The present storm is the biggest ever known in this part of Canada. Traffic is practically at a standstill. Passenger trains have been snowed up for from ten bo thirty-six hour,-. No trains are running, except two through trains to Chicago and New York. Seventeen bundled passengers are on these two trains.
