DUNEDIN EXHIBITION.
COST OF GETTING OVER
PICTURES,

Duuedin, this day. Tot Colonial Seoretary advises the Exhibition Ccmmiesionere that it will cost £5,000 to send over the pictures in the Melbourne Exhibition. The Colonial Seoretary wishes to know if the Committee are of opinion that the pictures ought to be had over at something like the above cost. The Government will communicate the deoision to Mr Twopeny, and ask him to do everything -possible to lessen the expense, also telegraph to the Agent-General to use his beeb efforts to get as many of the pictures as he oan. The Commissioners ask Mr Twopenytobe instructed to report what portion of the loan collection is available and the cost under the best arrangement possible.
